I don't know scientific that poll was, but if it's at all true, that's awful Mets fans. If the Mets played the Red Sox in the World Series, I would be donning my vintage Benny Agbayani jersey, leading the "Jose" song, and tattooing Mr. Met on my ass (temporary mom, no worries).
I would gladly accept any Mets fans on the bandwagon, but if you're really thinking of rooting for your biggest rivals to beat us, you should just bury your head in the dirt and not watch the World Series. I wouldn't want any of the Yankees players to get hurt because there's a Mets fan watching. You can go back to rooting for the Islanders/Jets.

The mets and red sox met in 86 and I rooted for the mets. I'm a die hard yankees fan and always root for the AL whether yanks or in it or now but I certainly couldn't root for the AL in 86. It just goes to show you that the Mets fans, as I've been saying forever, hate the Yanks more than they love the Mets. So sad that the Mets are stuck with these fucked up fans.
False. I will be rooting for the Yankees. Why? for all of your reasons andrew. I hope the Yanks BLAST Philly off the map On Wednesday. Then Again on Thursday. Then again on Sunday. Then I hope the Giants SMASH the Eagles in Philly on Sunday, setting up the Yankee sweep of the Phillies later that evening in Philadelphia.

Change the third BLAST from Sunday to Saturday.
hahaha, yeah man, Mets vs. Red Sox World Series, I convert to Islam if that's what it takes for the Sawx to lose. I can understand the Mets fans hating the Yankees that much. We are a permanent rival because of the city we share. But the division rivals typically come and go based on who does well. The damage the Phillies did to the Mets is pretty much over, as another World Series for the Phils won't really do much more, but another title for the Yanks just kills the Mets even more.
